Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C
Grease and flour an 8-inch square baking pan
In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat
Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined
Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until batter is smooth
Fold in chocolate chips
Spread batter into prepared pan
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs, not wet
Allow to cool before cutting into squares
