Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Assorted colored sprinkles and edible glitter
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt
In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms
Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie
Gently flatten each cookie with the back of a fork or the bottom of a glass
Decorate the cookies with colored sprinkles and a touch of edible glitter for a festive look
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
